What a wonderful time we had at the showing of 2011 Collection.  Thank you to all those who could attend and we are so thrilled with all your positive feedback and comments.  Obviously we love the range but to have people purchase items and tell us about their "I was wearing my NeckSpice piece and someone commented on how quirky and beautiful my necklace is...." was really special.

For those who could not make the showing of this current Collection please feel free to contact us to view the Winter range.  There are a few stunning pieces left....but like snowflakes they will not be around forever.

Reading and Beading

We have been reading and beading ... and neglecting our domestic duties ... yippee.  Somehow though we have managed to keep our families happy, on track and create wonderful pieces for the Winter Collection.  Have a sneak peak at what we will be showing in June 2011.

She Made Me Do It

Finally Jane forced me to sit down for a whole 4 hours and do admin with no beading...ugh....I know...I know...hard to take off the creative hat and do all the behind the scenes stuff but we had to do it.  Now that all that is in place we can get back to creating our 2011 collection.  Some of our new necklaces have been inspired by the Autumn colours in Melbourne, some from the new beads that we have sourced, and some from our heart.  Here is a sneak preview of what we will be showing at our next morning tea....and perhaps even an evening showing with champagne!!

New Bead Shipment and Visit by Goddaughter

New shipment of beads arrived yesterday and we had a pizza night with my God daughter's family to celebrate the end of Term 1, Easter and all things good in life.  While I was distracted making pizza my very young and creative Goddaughter took a tour through my new bead collection.  She put together these two beautiful necklaces.  I think I might be seeking her out as a full time designer when she grows up.  Wishing all of you happy school holidays.

Giving Back to the Community

Jane and I have always had a strong sense of community and we are thrilled to show you some of our creations that have been donated to the St John's Gala Fund Raising Dinner - it was held on 23 March 2011.  The two necklaces were created especially for the dinner and were auctioned off on the night.  The feedback is that both designs were a spectacular hit.

Colour Colour Colour - We Have Been Busy

You thought that we were at the beach lazing about and not thinking about our 2011 collection...well you were right.  Jane and Tania took some time off over Summer to re-energise but we did not turn off our inspiration meters.  So here is the start of the 2011 collection.  Lovely warm colours for Autumn and beyond.

Today was a very special day....my god-daughter visited and she fell in love with our bead collection.  She was determined to create a special piece for a special person.  She would not leave our home until the necklace was finished.  So together with the guiding hand of Design Girl they completed the following piece.  I am biased but I think it is very funky....

NeckSpice Launch

Our hobby has officially turned into a lifetime passion...and now we are selling our creations.  We had so many lovely beads that we decided to have a "launch" of our 2010 collection during a swish morning tea in November.  It was so much fun to show our friends what we had been working on throughout the year.

Our husbands said that we did more socialising with our friends, drinking cups of tea and nibbling cake and pink biscuits than selling necklaces...that is not true!!  Our childrens range sold out and we are now busy making the 2011 childrens collection.  We have also bought some gorgeous beads for the adults range for 2011.  We are now busy making new designs with the aim of showing them in early 2011.  Keep peeking at our blog for updates on these new designs...but for now have a look at the pictures from our launch.
